Funding Circle’s Global Customer Analytics team is looking to add an enthusiastic, smart, & results-driven Senior Business Analyst to support the exponential growth of our business. The position will be based in Berlin focused on Continental Europe whilst offering opportunities for international projects in the UK or US. If London is a more suitable location for a candidate this will also be considered.
At Funding Circle business analysts are quantitative analysts who can extract meaningful business insights from customer data, and leverage predictive models to create strategies that will optimize business performance. They support risk management, marketing, capital markets, operations and finance teams.
This is a strategic role that sits at the heart of value creation through leading edge analytics turning data into long term competitive advantage.
Birds-eye view of the role:
Understand business needs and define analytical frameworks to facilitate problem-solving
Use statistical analysis to design in-market testing or predictive models whilst creating and improving on best practices to be used across the Funding Circle analytics community
Recommend optimal business strategies based on historical performance, predictive analytics and scenario analysis and implement these in market with cross-functional teams
Create and maintain automated management information reports to track business performance across business areas and for external parties such as institutional investors or regulators
Qualifications & Skills:
*Bachelor’s degree in quantitative/finance related field required
*Minimum 3 years’ of experience in direct marketing/digital/sales optimization preferred
Prior financial services experience (esp. lending products) preferred
Proficient with analytical tools like Excel VBA, Tableau, R or SAS, Python
Proven problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods
Excellent ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, simple and actionable stories
