Responsibilities
Cubic Telecom has an exciting role for a dynamic and enthusiastic consultant/systems administrator who enjoys working with customers and internal staff alike. You will be a solid team player and superb communicator who can deliver excellence in both project and support work. Based within our Networks and Systems team this role is responsible for providing mainly Linux / Unix systems administration and Amazon Web Services engineering services, and as well as working with customers to enhance current systems and develop projects to implement new solutions.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter looking to join a fast paced, multidiscipline team that provides project, customer and internal support at Cubic Telecom and will have 5+ years’ experience in building and supporting front line Linux / Unix / AWS environments. In particular knowledge of Red Hat Linux, HPUX, and Amazon Web Services is desirable.

Essential Requirements
Enterprise virtualisation solutions - server and desktop (VMWare, Hyper V, Citrix;
Disaster recovery and site replication solutions;
DevOps and automation experience;
Experience with Microsoft Technologies and Citrix VDI is desirable;
Infrastructure skills such as networking / storage / etc would be beneficial;
Public Cloud experience such as AWS. Azure, or Oracle Cloud;
Software as a Service expertise (Office 365, Google Apps);
Experience in the full product lifecycle including Concept generation, Design, Build and Support essential;
Strong, first-hand experience of building and supporting Enterprise solutions;
Strong experience is both multi-server, stand alone and clustered solutions;
Excellent working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, HP UX, and Amazon Web Services;
Knowledge of backup products (Veeam, Backup Exec, ARCserve, Data Protector, and/or CommVault);
Good troubleshooting skills required;
Ability to work well on your own and within a team;
Mentoring of junior team members;
Ability to work with customers and in a cross-team environment;
Documentation and development of processes and procedures;
Experience working within a structured ITIL / ISO20000 IT Service Management environment;
Customer facing and comfortable working across multiple customer environments;
A Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience required;
Ability to direct suppliers and vendors and their teams;
Understanding of packet analysis and packet capture utilities;
Confident and goal oriented attitude with an ability to set and meet short and long-term objectives;
Experience in creating, utilizing, and maintaining technical documentation;
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with dynamic priority evolution;
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and plans with well-reasoned decisions and minimal supervision;
Ability to carry out responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency and balance this by moving issues forward within established processes;
Ability to begin troubleshooting any issue, problem, or oddity regardless of topic or content with a focus of assessment and engagement of proper external resources;
Professional written and verbal communication skills in English;

Experience working with a Mobile Operator or MVNO/MVNE;
Experience working in a Multi-IMSI multi-territory environment;
