As VP of Engineering you will be responsible for building, structuring and leading a team of Research and Development Engineers in New Product Development. (Design, architecture, development, systems integration and testing), networking and pre-sales engineering design support. Facilitating the R & D and Product Development processes and collaborating with other leaders.
The Vice President of Engineering reports to the CEO and works closely with other functional leaders in the company, including those in finance, sales, and marketing. Provide executive leadership to a team of engineers at various levels to ensure they work with the purposive synergy to attain the business objectives.
The Vice President of Engineering will focus on the structuring and operation of the product development as a cohesive unit; The day-to-day management and conceptualizing of simultaneous projects; The company has been providing a range of innovative solutions to meet the needs of customers.
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operations of the engineering department.
Provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, for all product development. Develop strategic planning for the management and control of product development activities.
Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department or project teams
Conduct regular staff meetings with the various engineering teams from design, technical sales and after sales support, project management and production to ensure that any problems are immediately addressed.
Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product requirements.
Ensure that the product is fully and properly defined and documented.
Direct staffing and directors to acquire necessary resources and plan to meet scheduled commitments.
Ensure that product development is focused on meeting and exceeding the customer requirements.
May participate directly in the design, development and inspection of technical projects or in the engineering work of the department.
Determine feasibility of project by identifying and forecasting costs and requirements
Plan and develop the department's operating and capital budgets and manage expenses to conform to budget.
Train managers to maintain engineering staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
Hire and direct staff of senior group members to acquire necessary resources to meet scheduled commitments.

Solid understanding of technical issues and needs.
A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science required
Minimum 10 years experience
