Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of documentation to ensure compliance with AAT Rules, Federal Court Rules (as applicable), Comcare requirements and the SRC Act
Identifying relevant costs centre and business unit contact for new applications;
Engaging with business units regarding initial lodgement of proceedings and updates as required;
Ensuring all relevant court dates are entered into diaries and notification provided to business units regarding conciliation and hearing dates;
Preparing documents for AAT proceedings as required;
Providing summaries and strategy to business units regarding WC claims and where necessary provide advice regarding employment considerations in the context of WC disputes;
Reviewing bills provided by law firms as requested;
Court attendance as required;
Assisting with dissemination of new or varied legislation, case law and/or policy.
