Role Expectations:

Drives team to execute cost-saving initiatives thru

projects aimed to reduce expense for a variety of services used to deliver Network Solutions to customers around the globe; leading discussions and driving planning reviews for budget and forecast cycles; validating teams’ results with a high confidence level; ensuring accurate calculations and reporting to ensure it aligns with company practices; challenging team to create sustained and increased output against goals; suggesting alternative projects to reduce unproductive or lower priority work functions; reviewing and approving service orders and contracts; providing financial oversight and management of network/facility cost expenses on a budgetary and transactional basis.

Manages expense challenges by

focusing on network-driven costs, including access / switched-access costs, dark fiber and collocation services; supporting internal customers with workflow tools and select operational roles that link the planning functions to engineering, construction and service delivery/assurance; creating or adapting solutions to proactively manage capacity, lower costs and ensure reliability of off-net access services; managing capital budget for access enablement.

Manages vendor & contractor relationships by

ensuring work is in support of company requirements; evaluating and reviewing competitive issues; engaging in frequent discussions, both strategically and tactically for defined projects; engaging with CenturyLink Wholesale contacts; providing buy-side market detail to help guide bilateral or reciprocal transactions including external escalations to all levels to meet business/ customer needs.

Coaches and Communicates with team at multiple levels within the organizationby conducting one-on-ones with each direct report; conducting weekly staff meetings and periodic all hands calls; guiding informal discussion with individuals at all levels including recognizing employees achievement and contributions; responsible for mentoring and developing employees; assisting with internal escalations and coordination when necessary across multiple teams including planning, engineering, construction, and provisioning; creating an environment to support employee engagement and performance.

Establishes strategic plans and objectives by

initiating or attending discussions and planning sessions with product, provisioning, carrier management, finance, legal, staff, and IT; creating a regular cadence of meetings on select topics, project readouts and ad hoc problem solving sessions; communicating departmental priorities as well as big picture perspective.

Manages projects by

coordinating with teams across organizations for projects like work stoppage, potential acquisition or sale of assets, and strategic partnerships with select customers/vendors; determines level of effort required and engage other team members to participate or provide information; managing workload of resources; initiating business case solutions as needed to support BAU or synergy related efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Typically 10+ years related experience and a Bachelor's Degree OR 8+ years related experience with Master’s degree.
•5 years of direct supervisory experience of a global team
•3 years facility cost management or Network/Telecom budgets
