Duties and Responsibilities:
DISH Network has an employment opportunity for an individual with energy, intellect, and the need to achieve as Graphic Designer / Marketing Specialist II for a nationally focused creative team in Sales. This person will support management in planning and development of corporate-produced marketing materials, ad templates for marketing platform and sales collateral for the full-service retailer Indirect Sales Channel. The role will work directly with sales teams, distributor partners, vendors and within Indirect Sales channel to increase sales and activations of DISH products and services to new and existing independent retailers’ customers, as in an agency-client model.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
Consults with and takes direction from internal and field sales teams, general market internal agency and marketing teams, International sales and marketing teams, is fully engaged and aware of legal marketing requirements and advertising processes/strategies for each channel.
Aligns DISH brand strategy with corporate marketing plan, communicates brand strategies and marketing initiatives as needed to sales teams, and collaborates with other departments.
Identifies potential opportunities and maintains records and reporting to analyze for future use and/or reference.
Consults with indirect sales teams as needed and directed to achieve marketing strategies with goals to increase incremental sales.
Distributes marketing materials and supporting elements as directed and maintains file histories; acts as liaison for corporate office
Supports all Specialized Distribution sales teams, including events team and malls team as needed.
Creates advertising pieces and messaging to attract and drive sales calls to retailers, according to brand guidelines for general market and International sales/programming initiatives.
Provides full-time DISH BrandDRIVE marketing platform support for custom creative and helps train at annual sales event if needed.
Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university and one or two plus years of design experience; or at least two years related career experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of graphic design experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). Experience in additional related programs is a plus.
Travel once per year to attend special sales event which includes meetings and trainings; other ad hoc travel as needed, but for this position travel is not essential nor required.
Copywriting interest with excellent communication and writing (i.e., grammatical, spelling) skills are a bonus.
Desire to assist field sales teams and local retailer channel with sales initiatives and ad messaging.
Able to write reports/correspondence, present information clearly and respond professionally to questions from managers, colleagues, associates, retailer clients and external partners.
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish/other) and Agency experience are a plus.
