Security Specialist / Administrative Support Specialist

Responsible for the administrative functions to process personnel security clearances, visit clearance requests, badge requests, NMCI accounts, and security file maintenance. Responsible for managing Access Control for facility and Classified Document Control Management.
Provide HR support for all Associates including but not limited to Onboarding, Timekeeping/Payroll, Record Management, and Office Administration as needed.
Security Specialist:
Initiate, review, and approve personnel security clearance investigation request (SF86) in JPAS
Process fingerprint cards for security clearances
Process CAC, RAPIDGate, NAVSEA, and PKI credentials
Process visit clearance letters (VALs) and spreadsheets for base/ship access
Manage NMCI, SAAR-N form, and IA training requirements
Manage access control badging system for Portsmouth office
Scan and maintain security related documents and security personnel files
Conduct training for new hires, confidential room, foreign travel, insider threat, OPSEC, etc.
Conduct debriefing exit interviews, collect badges, revoke badges, and cancel all visit request
Ability to hand carry classified material to/from government customer as needed

Administrative Support Specialist:
Provide a variety of administrative support for the effective and efficient operation of the office
Conduct administrative functions such as drug screening, background checks, and DMV driving reports
Knowledge of and ability to perform the I-9 process and E-Verify
Process timekeeping/payroll for assigned division
Coordinate special events such as office luncheons, company parties, etc.
Assist with coordinating building maintenance, and order supplies
Maintain accounts for outside vendors for office services; such as vending machines, onsite shredding service, cleaning crew, and paper products.
Process invoices/coding for payment.
Performs other duties as assigned

Two years of related security and administrative experience preferred
Experience with JPAS database preferred
Knowledgeable of current NISPOM requirements
Knowledgeable with HR/Security concepts, practices, and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Costpoint – preferred
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
Must possess detailed administrative, organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
Must work with a sense of urgency, everything is time sensitive
Ability to complete FSO Management DSS training courses within three months
