Systems Engineer – Customer Networks

Responsibilities:

Provide post-sales technical requirements
Provide both systems engineering and long-term technical support (Tier 3)
Plan, design, develop, and/or implement systems engineering plans and wide-scale networks for customers
Other activities include defining the system design, traffic engineering, providing technical direction for customers, customer acceptance, and systems and applications troubleshooting
Constant contact with customers and vendors
Basic Requirements:

Must be U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident – position requires access to U.S. export restricted materials (ITAR)
Bachelors Degree
2 or more years of direct experience
Preferred Qualifications:

In depth understanding of LAN/WAN technologies
Ability to speak either Spanish or Arabic and other languages is a plus
Solid understanding of the issues involved with administering and maintaining IP Network infrastructure, including network connectivity, Network security, Internet access and related challenges
Knowledge of RF technologies
Knowledge of IP networking over satellite link and related challenges
Prior experience in network sizing activities is a plus
Cisco and Microsoft certification is desirable
Exposure to Mobile technologies like GSM and CDMA
Exposure to voice protocols like SS7, SIP
