The Finance Manager Portugal will provide comprehensive financial support to Truphone departments based in Portugal (primarily but not limited to Technology & Customer Services) including:
Supporting management in the development of overhead budgets and forecasts for departments;
Ensuring department financials are sufficiently detailed and insightful to allow effective management;
Providing insight and support in the presentation and interpretation of monthly results both at a departmental level
Produce variance analysis and insight including price, volume, efficiency analysis of results
Management of departmental cost transformation plans across the functions based in Portugal
Work with departments to agree appropriate overhead cost reporting structures allowing management to fully understand financial outcomes for their departments.
Ensure departments comply with finance requirements and business governance of Truphone. Partner with operational staff and provide financial advice and guidance on all relevant matters.
Ensure departmental overheads budgets meet overall business requirements and that department leads have underpinning plans to support financial delivery
Work with departments to understand financial performance, implement appropriate and sufficient plans to meet commitments including remediation where necessary
Develop cost transformation plans with departments and report monthly achievements. Work with partners across the business to identify potential areas of cost transformation, perform benefit analysis and develop recommendations for implementation and budgeting purposes.
Participate in benefit delivery projects and hold business partners accountable for the timely implementation of cost transformation and related benefits
Drive value for money mind-set change across the business.
Ensure departmental financial commitments are fully delivered
Skills and Experience Required
2yrs + PQE with budgeting and forecasting experience
Experience in business partnering and managing departmental budgets
Excellent academic record
Experience working / optimising against a backdrop of imperfect systems and data
A collaborative approach with strong influencing skills
