Vice President of Marketing

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Directs overall marketing and strategic planning programs and facilitates sales development through marketing and client services programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

Design and facilitate development and implementation marketing plans for the company.
Plan and administer marketing operations budget, including development of regional marketing budgets.
Organize and implement client relations activities, including client satisfaction surveys, client development activities, client skills training, and special events.
Supervise department’s RFP protocol process, including soliciting RFPs from desirable prospective clients and writing proposals for new business.
Participate in planning and presentation sessions.
Oversee business development activities, including strategic planning for client presentations.
Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of marketing staff, and oversee their daily activities
Act as spokesperson for Huawei brand and speak at new product launch event

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree

Major/Discipline: Marketing, Business, or Advertising

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum: At least five (5) years’ management experience in the telecommunications device industry, marketing to Tier 1 carriers
Preferred: Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience in Marketing of the telecommunications device industry

Skills & Abilities: (Technical or General)

Minimum Requirements:

Proven track record of solid relationships at all organizational levels, both internal and external;
Proven track record of successfully managing sales growth and carrier penetration;
Experience in strategic planning and execution;
Articulate, with strong presentation and written communication skills;
Advanced Microsoft Office applications knowledge;
Intermediate Project Management, business analysis, and vendor management skills;
Ability to communicate effectively across all functional areas of the customer organization; and
Working knowledge of wireless devices (tablet, smart phone, feature phone, etc.).
Effective employee management skills, including leadership, motivation, communication, and performance feedback
Strong verbal presentation ability
