Provide technical service and support to new and existing customer networks, telecom and IT.
Plan, design, troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and optimize customer networks. Analyses isolate and solve complex fault issues as well as contribute to corrective actions.
Configure and integrate different nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks.
All activities performed will be in accordance to customer contract. Interact with customer technical staff and operation managers, service engineers and other groups, within Service Delivery organization. Also interact with groups in Sales, R&D, 3rd Party suppliers.
Verifies and implements procedural improvements and changes (down to the level of work instructions) and provides input on structural improvements in processes/work instructions. This is done within the responsibilities of the organizational unit (and adjacent interfacing areas) with the goal to ensure changes are embedded in the daily way of working
Acts as a central point of contact in event handling within the boundaries of the network integration services, to achieve efficient and effective execution of Network Integration activities.
Has direct contact with 3rd parties (mostly network vendors) to ensure problems/adaptations are solved within set time frames.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
Knowledge / awareness of the following IT Products (not all of them are mandatory):
• Oracle BRM
• BMC Remedy
• Oracle PL/SQL
• Scripting knowledge (Perl/Shell)
• ITIL Foundations
• Basic Telecom knowledge
Academic degree, minimum on Bachelor level, combined with relevant professional experience in IT or Telecom.
