Role purpose:

A key contributor to the successful delivery of the Audit Plan by conducting audit testing and reporting,
through
Examination and evaluation of Colt’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, systems, policies and
operations
Providing independent assurance over the adequacy, appropriateness and effectiveness of the IT
internal control environment, and compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
Identifying and agreeing with management pragmatic recommendations to remediate control
weaknesses

Accountabilities:

Core tasks – Managing and leading end-to-end audit activities:

Audit planning, conducting initial meetings, fact finding, and issuing Audit Planning Memoranda
(APMs) with objectives, scope and approach
Understanding and documenting processes and controls, and developing risk and control
matrices
Conducting interviews, performing walk-throughs and data analyses
Developing test scripts and performing / coordinating testing of controls
Assessing findings and proposing improvement action plans
Conducting closing meetings and agreeing actions with management
Writing audit reports
Following-up on previous audit actions
Establishing effective working relationships with internal customers, influencing senior
management, taking into account different and diverse working cultures across the Colt Group
Effectively managing time and deliverables and maintaining activity schedules in line with project
management principles
Following internal methodology, quality control standards and delivering high quality outputs to agreed deadlines.
Additional Responsibilities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge and contribute to on-going key risk indicators for IT environment, Colt’s technology risks and general industry (Telecoms) leading practices
Perform data analysis, and provide support and knowledge sharing
Collaborate with and support the team and the business by sharing expertise and providing accurate and timely information related to audit status and/or other inquiries
Help maintain the Resolution, GIA’s issues database
Liaise with management in the ongoing implementation of audit actions
Assist with Audit Committee deliverables on a quarterly basis
Assist with any Fraud Risk Management and potential fraud Investigations
Assist in other projects as requested by Internal Audit management
Manage other team members work as appropriate

What you will need to succeed

Experience

Proven IT audit experience (traineeship included in this number)
Internal audit experience
Telecommunication industry experience
Big 4 or upper 2nd tier firm experience
Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in
IT infrastructure controls, including general operations, architecture, information security, operating systems (particularly UNIX and Windows), networks, databases, backups, etc.
All aspects of application controls, application development and systems change management
Basic business cycles (e.g. Purchase to Pay, HR, Sales and Order management, etc.)
Increasing levels of responsibility
Qualifications/Certifications

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) – mandatory requirement
Other professional qualifications (e.g. accounting) are highly desirable
University degree
