Seeking a visionary leader to drive Platform Security from architecture through execution. This role, based in Markham, Canada, will lead a world-class team of Architects and Engineers across Hardware, Software and Firmware domains both onsite and in remote geographic regions. The person will be responsible for establishing and executing security strategy for AMD products including CPUs, APUs and GPUs for all markets ranging from high-performance compute and cloud data servers to laptops, desktops and game consoles. A deep background in micro-processor security and related solutions with broad industry, academic and standards experience, will be a core requirement, coupled with a proven track-record of driving innovation and leading diverse, distributed, high-performance engineering execution in a demanding and intense environment.
Education and credentials:
Bachelor’s and, ideally, graduate degrees in a technology related field with at least 20 years of experience and at least 8-10 years in senior technology and engineering leadership roles.

Proven people leadership across hardware and software product development
Track record of technical leadership driving system design and architecture within Security domain
Experience growing team skills/capability and driving process improvement across design, development, test
Technical depth in security domain covering areas such as content protection, encryption,
Outreach into relevant security standards, academic institutions, thought leaders and industry groups
Experience managing challenging cross-organization issues and successfully handling escalations
Demonstrated track record working with other engineering and non-engineering departments to achieve business aims
Commitment to bringing new approaches and ideas to the team with a consistently positive attitude
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to enable successful communication with business partners, senior executives, cross-functional counterparts and staff
