In this role you'll focus on developing the Salesforce Content application and APIs. A major focus for the team is Salesforce Files, our solution for managing unstructured information in Salesforce business process. The Files platform is used by many clouds across Salesforce, manages several billion files and has multi-million monthly active users. Some of the features that are unique to the Files platform are: polymorphic sharing of Files across entities, Einstein integration, file recommendations, Content analytics, image preview and rendition creations among other things. We believe that Content accessed through services and applications is the best way to bring unstructured data capabilities to the Salesforce platform.
Design, implement and ship features that can scale to millions of users;
Lead feature and architecture design with a major focus on performance, scalability and future plans;
Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well;
Adopt, embrace, and promote agile and test-driven practices;
Value team excellence over individual productivity;
Participate and promote architectural initiatives, balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs.
6+ years of experience building large-scale, data-driven web applications;
5+ years of Java experience;
In-depth Knowledge of databases and experience with (PL)SQL and relational schema design. Oracle experience;
NoSQL experience. HBase preferred.
Thorough knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns;
Prior experience designing REST and/or SOAP based APIs;
Solid communication skills
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment; and
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
