What you’ll be doing...
Defining the operating model of alternative formats will better allow Verizon to position our physical presence in locations our current operating model won’t allow for. By proposing changes for how we do business in our locations, Verizon will be able to act more nimbly in the ever-changing physical retailing marketplace. Our new alternative format operating model is only as good as the measures and inputs we define. Verizon must think differently about success relating to these formats, and will be required to measure non-traditional KPIs to help define success. The incumbent will be tasked with defining these non-traditional KPIs & defining what success is based on these KPIs. In order to stay constantly relevant in retailing, constant evolution is necessary. Not only of the products & services we offer, but the ways we offer these products & services to our customers in physical retailing. Staying ahead of the emerging trends in physical retailing & customer expectations requires research, understanding, and development of Verizon’s approach to these emerging trends. The incumbent will be required to stay current and ahead of these changes and offer solutions for how Verizon can compete in the physical retailing space.
Develop operating model for alternative format locations
Build scalable pilot for alternative format locations
Deliver national plan for alternative format rollout
Evaluate future formats as customer shopping trends shift
Define & monitor KPIs for successful alternative format deployment
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Retail experience outside of the wireless space (to bring in a different perspective), with a strong understanding of store operations and customer experience.
Experienced in executing large scale retail transformations.
Strategy experience (consulting firm or in-house strategy).
Ability to translate strategy into tactical implementation plans and execute.
