What you’ll be doing...
The Senior Interaction/UI Designer will be an integral part of the Verizon Wireless Device Marketing UX Strategy & Design team. You will lead efforts to design and define the interactions and interfaces that will engage our customers and transform unmet user needs and business opportunities into successful product and service launches. You will work to create a best in class customer experience for Verizon’s Device’s including OS UX design and review, customer journey maps, web-based product and service activation experiences, mobile companion apps, and operations review presentations. The ideal candidate has a passion for user centered design and has a wide breadth of experience across multiple types of products, channels and design methodologies.
Candidates must have a high level of experience in user interface / user experience design, web, mobile and device product development. This will include business analysis and requirements gathering and documentation from all business stakeholders and internal/external clients, wireframing, prototyping, and coordination of project development. Candidate must possess and amazing level of attention to detail is a must. Someone who knows best practices, can document them, and insure all UI/UX design follows those detailed specifications.
Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms
Take ideas and concepts, and visualize them in such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, partners and customers
Connect the dots between business requirements, innovation, analytics, and good design through visual representation of ideas
Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of the system, service or infrastructure
Directly responsible for delivering User Experience visions, UI specifications, wireframes and prototypes
Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members
Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you
Be an expert in the emerging industry UI trends, across web, mobile and tablet platforms, competitors and strategies, and shares this information with the team
Respond to day-to-day questions from UX designers, technology teams, vendors, developers & product managers
Documents ongoing progress, code migrations and status on work assignments and communicates these updates during status meetings
Experience in writing detailed design specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, etc.), which technology developers use to build the product
Work both collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high level of productivity
Assist in QA to identify, document, and verify design bug fixes
What we’re looking for...
Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Interface design experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Design (Graphic, Interaction, Visual, and Digital), Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information architecture, Marketi
