In your job as (Associate) Support Engineer, you will have the chance to see the results of your efforts by directly contributing to the enhancement of our customers’ business and process performance, as well as the stability and reliability of their solutions. You can quickly grow in gaining expert knowledge on new technologies and their root cause analysis and optimization secrets.
We are looking for a good team player and someone who has the ability to drill down into technical issues and solve complex and detailed problems.
Among others, following topics are handled regularly:
Optimize HANA databases of customer systems
Work with customers on finding solutions for urgent database problems
Deliver workshops at customer side
Support customers and colleagues out of our Backoffice
Provide support for system’s lifecycle events, like e.g. upgrade or migration
Our team deals with a wide range of topics. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy working in different roles frequently facing new challenges.
As you will be working with many different people all over the world on a daily basis, very good English and German language skills are mandatory. To deliver our services globally to customers travel is part of the job to a certain extend.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering or Natural Sciences
Strong analytical and logical skills
Enjoy working in an international team
Very good communication skills
Enjoy facing and tackling new challenges in different roles on a regular basis
Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written)
Willing to travel in the EMEA regions but sometimes also intercontinental
Some experience with databases, like SAP HANA, Oracle, Sybase, or MS SQL Server
Some experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Some experience as a technology consultant in SAP implementation projects
Some experience with SAP upgrades or OS/DB migrations
Some programming skills in at least one language e.g. (ABAP, JAVA, C, C++ or similar)
