Roles and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be a member of a team who responsible for Windows server administration in our customer’s production environment, and for responding to service outages and other problems.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or Linux certification is preferred, but not required.
This position requires an Active Top Secret Clearance.
Required Experience and Skills:
Typically requires at least 10+ year’s relevant experience without a Degree; 6+ years’ relevant experience with Undergraduate Degree; 4+ years relevant experience with Graduate Degree.
Independent problem-solving, self-direction with good documentation skills.
Expert in all aspects of server administration; for example, configuration of disk sub-systems, server operations and maintenance, server migration, server protection and disk-to-disk backup/restore.
A solid understanding of Windows-based SERVER operating systems and the storage utilities used by them.
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
Performing routine audits of systems and software.
Applying OS updates, patches, and configuration changes, after they are tested in the non-production environment and approved by the change board.
Answering technical queries and dealing with ISSOs.
Responsible for documenting the server configuration.
Five years or more of server system administration in a Windows environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
May be required to help physically install and/or uninstall servers in racks.
