What you’ll be doing...
We are the business solutions think tank for our wireless business customers in our forward thinking technology strategic marketing group—improving efficiency and enhancing service levels for our business customers. You’ll be managing strategic projects that will ultimately drive exceptional customer satisfaction for our business customers. You’ll bring together cross-functional teams across geographic regions to work together to implement programs to make us deliver even better solutions and service to our customers. Because here, better matters. You will be doing all this by analyzing and guiding the wireless B2B technology strategic marketing for Verizon Wireless.
Recommend wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on solutions enhancements for B2B products and services
Deep understanding of the abilities for 5G to change B2B services and applications
Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch
Recommend measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment
Create support documentation and requirements for strategy execution
Understand propagation theory, cellular theory, RF Engineering tools and antenna theory to recommend tower antenna placement
Understand Verizon IoT practices, SmartCities fundamentals and Telematics domains
Managing high visibility strategic projects
Keep line of sight for 1-2 year with ideation to execution, business case analysis and recommendations
Validate design aspects of new hardware and software releases for platforms from the B2B perspective
Provide engineering and network teams with B2B requirements
Plan, design, and deliver solutions that improve the customer network in terms of capacity, functionality, end-user services, and competence build up for business purpose
Liaise with vendors and serve internal customers for new and sustained core network engineering features, technology, and product testing and validation
Serve as a point of contact for internal customers, including the Field Service Center, billing, and provisional operations regions and markets
Understand and have performed Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Alerting Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (aSRVCC) with LTE with End-to-End (E2E) certification of 4th Generation (4G), 5th Generation (5G) core networks, and Network Function Virtualization and Digits Service.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Two or more years of experience in IMS Design and/or Deployment.
Even better if you have:
Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.
Excellent knowledge in IMS/ICS, RCS, webRTC, SR-VCC, VoLTE, ViLTE, EPC, Telecommunications, GSM technologies architectures and relevant protocols.
Significant Use Case development for business applications and platforms.
Experience in writing RFI/RFP/RFQ, evaluating responses and executive summary preparation.
Experience in managing vendors and driving roadmap requirements.
Knowledge of SIP, Diameter, GTP, TCP IP Protocols.
Ability to understand and reference 3GPP and OMA specifications.
Experience in working in large cross functional teams.
Experience in developing short to long term solutions strategies and executions.
