Lead Global Payroll Accounting Operations team based in Global Business Services in Pune.
Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis; review payroll and other compensation and benefits account reconciliations completed by Global Business Services team in Pune.
Work closely with US based Global Accounting Operations team on resolution of open items; research and clean-up outstanding reconciling items for complex payroll reconciliations; track progress and collaborate with regional payroll teams.
Prepare or review global payroll journal entries and ensure monthly journal entries prepared by shared services center are posted in a timely manner.
Support the payroll reconciliation improvement process; prepare templates and schedules for reconcilers to be used as a standard reconciliation backups.
Regularly review and submit requests for AssureNet assignment updates of payroll reconciliations.
Communicate, train and enforce policies with Global Business Services team in Pune and global teams.
Proficiently operate in the accounting modules of an ERP System.
Provide day to day accounting operations support; assist with non-payroll monthly close functions as needed.
Participate in global standardization efforts for policies and procedures and account reconciliations.
Motivate, engage, and provide support to the accounting operation team members and cross functional business partners.
Monitor monthly compensation and benefit expenses, perform variance analysis, identify drivers and make adjustment journal entries if necessary.
Prepare and review schedules in support of internal and external audit processes and requirements.
Coordinate and ensure ongoing compliance with SOX.
BS in Accounting.
CPA is desirable.
Minimum 5 years of global corporate accounting experience is required, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and payroll accounting.
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience within a global corporate accounting environment
Advanced excel skills including macros is required.
