Work with the Data Management team, and business and technical SMEs to define and document the following for Plan and Participant data domains (and associated elements) within the Institutional business and applications:
Data element definitions and Metadata
System of record
Transactions that use the data element
Processes that own/use the data element
Any issues with the domain of valid values as it concerns processing of a transaction
Data element type and valid values (domain range) for the element.
Support the approval tollgates for the data definitions, metadata, and controls.
Identify necessary data remediation as part of the data analysis process
Coordinate with business to remediate the data
Provide status and metrics on remediation
Relevant professional experience and experience working in Financial Services
Previous Technical Analyst or Business Analyst experience
Proven ability to profile data
Efficient in analyzing large Data Sets
Experience/proficiency with SQL queries
Experience/proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access (queries and reporting)
Ability to work independently and make decisions to drive assigned tasks to closure
Ability to work in an environment with many unknown factors
Ability to interview SMEs and translate conversation into workflows, requirements, etc.
Ability to explain data issues with the business and drive towards resolution of those issues
Excellent oral/written communication and analytical skills
Previous experience preferably within the Institutional Financial Services (IFS) or IT Organization
Understanding of the various business lines that are supported in the Institutional business and beyond – including client contact centers, and/or institutional retirement recordkeeping.
5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst
3+ years experience writing SQL queries
