Accountable for a set of strategic decision in support architectural principles, identify and describe external entities (vendors, policy maker, and governmental bodies), customers, and systems that interact with the business and create a cross MFUs resource that should be involved with the processes which enable service alignment by transcending functional organisation, products and geographical boundaries as well as adhering and respecting regulatory conformance.
Proactively identify whether investment is being made is in line with Broadband strategy, and ensure cross platform support to drive changes into the investments from the technology roadmap.
Understand the entire service portfolio and underpin it with technology roadmap. Explaining the technology, the technical solution to provide a framework for the BT consumer business requirement.
Steer the direction of network/system platform evolution, optimising the capex/Opex investment.
Influencing/ setting business goals with CIO MD, brining technical capability enablers to the BT consumer and then translate this into business opportunity.
Proactively engage with BT consumer and CIO on how to support MFUs to achieve goals.
Support in setting the process and policies for the designers to ensure the design team is delivering to our commitment.
Drive for improvement, optimisation of Broadband customer service satisfaction.
Degree qualified, Excellent understating of Broadband industry and extensive knowledge of BT Broadband
Have an expert knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Broadband networks architecture, Systems architectures in support of Broadband services, Broadband strategy and product portfolio development.
Strategic Thinking: Formulates objectives and priorities, and implements plans consistent with the long-term interest of the MFUs, capitalises on opportunities and manages risks.
