Expectations and Tasks: Provide visual experiences that are simple, elegant, and of high usability to support product development teams in projects, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems of high complexity. Responsible for UI delivery outcomes such as, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and visual design ideas for assigned projects and subprojects. Verify designs through reviews, validations, and formal usability testing. Provide support for and run various design initiatives. Mentor and collaborate with fellow visual designers, interaction designers, user researchers, product owners and developers. Contribute to instill a design culture throughout SAP. User Research: plan and conduct user research activities at every stage of the product lifecycle; synthesize data to extract actionable insights, which can be translated into product design; deliver insights verbally and visually in a way that generates empathy, emotion and engagement from the product team and other internal stakeholders; demonstrate user research impact on products, especially research in the product definition phase. Methods and Tools: experience working in iterative, Agile environment; proficiency with standard design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, etc.; ability to prototype with Principle, Framer JS and creating animations with Adobe After Effects; mentoring junior colleagues in using the best design practices and current tools of the trade. SAP Products & Domains: familiarity with SAP's portfolio of proprietary software/platforms: SAP Business Suite, S4Hana and Screen Personas; working knowledge of SAP compulsory toolbox. Interaction Design: translate business and user requirements into effective UI designs and specifications; a solid understanding of information and user-centered design principles; work with other stakeholders to shape ideas and create low- and high-fidelity prototypes; create interactive mockups and prototypes to communicate and validate designs early; devise innovative interactions that users love. UI Concepts and Guidelines: create brand style guidelines; create design systems, patterns libraries, and product design guidelines to ensure interface consistency across devices. UI Tools and Technologies: A solid knowledge of Fiori, SAP consumer-grade user experience patterns library; Familiarity with SAP UI technologies like SAP UI5, client-side HTML5 and JavaScript-based rendering library and programming model. Visual Design: envision and create visual experiences for SAP products; define brand identity and visual language for the full breadth of products; create storyboards, mockups, and prototypes; create visual designs for application screens, skins, and themes; create pixel-perfect product by collaborating with development to create dev-ready optimized assets and visual design specifications; researching, developing, implementing, adhering to and sharing best design practices. 10% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Design, Art, Human Computer Interaction or related field and 6 years of experience; or Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
