The role

The role sits within our base trading team and is responsible for the design, recommendation and implementation of Virgin Media’s home-movers strategy and trading performance. Working across the business to develop plans to both grow revenue and retain customers, identify risks/opportunities and implementing propositions to respond to the changing market and trading conditions

Specifically, this will involve
* Optimising plans for home movers’ commercial performance including revenue, volume, ARPU, product attach rates and tier mix
* Working closely with the customer analytics team to understand the demographic segmentation, current product set and needs of Virgin Media’s prospective movers and design targeted approaches for each
* Stakeholdering with operational leadership for movers channel, supporting them in understanding performance and driving change into the channel
* Providing weekly updates on commercial trading performance, identifying risks and opportunities and proposing changes to improve performance across the business
* Working closely with competitor intelligence team to assess competitive landscape and anticipate risks and opportunities to Virgin Media, design appropriate propositions to respond
* Financial modelling and development of business cases to support proposed propositions
* Liaising with the delivery team to ensure quality implementation of identified propositions
* Supporting systems implementation teams in understanding commercial implications of new system roll out in Movers channel
* Planning time frame for the team is generally 0 to 6 months i.e. the next two quarters

Essential knowledge and experience
* You’re analytical and financial savvy, able to evaluate numbers and details to make robust and commercially valid decisions.
* Strong commercial acumen and detailed understanding of the industry and key issues affecting our business
* Adept at operating in ambiguity and stepping outside the status quo with bold and original ideas that create growth
* Ability to see beyond the task to the overall purpose and engage people around a strategy, creating an energising and rewarding environment to work in

* Empathetic, approachable, and fair in dealings with colleagues at all levels - demonstrates a strong team mentality and able to build and maintain open and honest communication at all levels

* Ability to exercise judgement to make timely and sound decisions regarding highly complex and broad scope issues as they relate to both people and the business

* Prior cable, telecoms, Pay TV or mobile experience is a plus but not key for this role
