The role

The role sits within our acquisition trading team and is responsible for the design, recommendation and implementation of Virgin Media’s acquisition Go To Market strategy. Working across the business to develop plans to grow both volume and revenue, identify risks/opportunities and implementing propositions to respond to the changing market

* Focus on the rolling quarterly Go To Market plan for acquisition, collaborating with Marketing and Sales to refine and create a coordinated approach
* Optimise plans for acquisition commercial performance, including revenue, sales volume, incoming ARPU, product attach rates and tier mix
* Work closely with Competitor Intelligence team to assess competitive landscape and anticipate risks and opportunities to Virgin Media and design appropriate propositions to respond
* Work closely with the Customer Analytics team to understand the demographic segmentation, current product set and needs of Virgin Media’s prospect base
* Work closely with the Base Management team to analyse in-life performance of new customers after joining and the impact at end of offer to inform acquisition strategy
* Focus on the Advocacy offer set (Refer a Friend, Mates Rates, Partner Rates) to maximise opportunity and design propositions to grow both volume and revenue in this area
* Financial modelling and development of business cases to support proposed propositions
* Liaise with the Delivery team to ensure quality implementation of identified propositions
* Time horizon for the team is generally 0 to 6 months i.e. the next two quarters

Essential knowledge and experience
* You’re analytical and financial savvy, able to evaluate numbers and details to make robust and commercially valid decisions.
* Strong commercial acumen and detailed understanding of the industry and key issues affecting our business
* Adept at operating in ambiguity and stepping outside the status quo with bold and original ideas that create growth
* Ability to see beyond the task to the overall purpose and engage people around a strategy, creating an energising and rewarding environment to work in
* Empathetic, approachable, and fair in dealings with colleagues at all levels - demonstrates a strong team mentality and able to build and maintain open and honest communication at all levels

* Prior cable, telecoms, Pay TV or mobile experience is a plus but not key for this role
