Business Intelligence Manager

You will provide support to existing mAgri partners by using operator data to understand how services are performing. Your analysis will be used to co-create recommendations for service improvement and to keep track of KPIs for service providers (mobile operators and other mobile money providers) as well as to keep track of end user KPIs (farmers, mobile money agents, agribusinesses).

You will design and manage the analysis framework, tools and processes for project data for mAgri value chain digitisation projects. As part of this effort, you will collect and curate data from a variety of qualitative and quantitative sources against KPIs on the projects for internal and external reporting.

You will support meetings with GSMA consultants (market engagement managers) and service owners to ensure the correct data is collected to measure the progress and success of projects. It will be crucial for you to be able to work in collaboration with project teams to produce joint recommendations for projects.

As results are achieved, you will drive knowledge sharing between programme partners, as well as within the GSMA and externally, around the business intelligence work stream and its findings. You will also support the wider mAgri Insights and Publications team on their industry level analysis as required, including presentations at events and webinars.

In this role, you will also provide support and reporting as required to existing partner providers of mAgri and mHealth information services by collecting and analysing data for them. You will also perform BI analysis on an on-demand basis for existing partner providers of mAgri and mHealth information services.

About You
You have experience of working in the mobile industry and/or with mobile products. We are looking for someone with full proficiency in SQL, who is able to design, administrate and query SQL databases.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven ability to extract data, perform analysis and present insights to answer practical questions. You must also be able to work in an emerging opportunity area without a defined blueprint and still propose solutions to problems experienced by partner service providers. You have strong writing skills and the ability to structure reports coherently with some guidance from your line manager and colleagues.

You are a team player and are able to achieve results through your excellent relationship management skills and your ability to consider the interests of multiple stakeholders in your analysis and recommendations. To achieve results, it will be crucial to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively towards agreed recommendations for projects.

You are used to working in multicultural and geographically spread-out teams. A self-starter and highly motivated individual, you manage projects and drive them through to completion. You are an undergraduate degree in computer science, business or a relevant quantitative subject, and are willing to travel on international basis.
