This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral member of a small and fast growing Agile team.
As part of a team seeking continuous improvement, you will be involved in delivering award-winning products by writing high quality, tested code to enhance and extend existing solutions.
This role will include working with the solutions architect to develop application architecture, mentoring junior team members to build both skills and confidence and working in partnership with QA Engineers to ensure the team delivers quality software on-time.
At Egress, we are proud of our uniquely agile, effervescent, and people-focussed environment. Our core values of Culture, Excellence, Ambition, and Integrity run through everyone who works here, and through everything we do. Based in our Electric Works office in the heart of Sheffield, just opposite the railway station, you’ll work in a friendly, supportive environment alongside colleagues with a wide range of technical experience and knowledge. Although we’re a growing company, you’ll have direct access to senior technical staff and the ability to take ownership of what you do, with a genuine voice in design decisions. Your development and growth genuinely matter here, and you’ll be able to foster your skills whilst working in a truly satisfying and exciting role.
Egress Software Technologies is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate, experienced full stack developer to join our development teams in delivering our award-winning data security products.
You will be a practitioner with a demonstrable track record of delivery. Our software development teams also operate across several offices, so it is important that you are comfortable working in a small team and collaborating remotely with overseas colleagues.
We seek candidates with three to five years of commercial full stack development experience who have worked in an Agile environment.
The main technologies that the team currently works with are: Python with Flask, MongoDB and NodeJS on a Linux based platform. These direct skills are preferable; however, we believe that someone with the right experience and drive can easily pickup any missing components.
You will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent experience. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing self-education/improvement with accredited certifications or contributions to tech community (forums/discussions) or work on personal and/or open source projects.
