The Digital Marketing team is a key part of the highly successful European VMware business. Our team of marketing experts works closely with other key sales and marketing functions across EMEA to design, build and execute innovative and impactful digital marketing programs and to generate high quality leads for our VMware sales teams and partners. The team manages all aspects of digital demand generation working with a wide range of third party agencies.
The Digital Marketing Online Events Intern will be responsible for managing our webcast platform, providing an end-to-end service for online events to a wide range of Marketing stakeholders within the EMEA region. The intern will become a subject matter expert for online events, providing advice and counsel to users of the platform, and driving best practices for optimal webcast results and maximum audience engagement.
The intern will receive substantial guidance, feedback, mentoring and training from the team to help develop his or her marketing skills and may also be involved in supporting other demand generation activities.
The Digital Marketing Online Events Intern will:
Configure events for EMEA marketing teams into our webcast platform
Maintain a calendar of upcoming events for EMEA
Collaborate with stakeholders on the deliverables required to host a successful event
Train speakers and support staff on the use of the webcast platform
Collate and upload all content required to support an online event to the webcast platform
Test, monitor and support live webcasts for our EMEA stakeholders
Provide advice and counsel to EMEA stakeholders on best practices for optimal webcast results and maximum audience engagement
Provide monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis on all webcast events to stakeholders and management
Customer Service – High level of customer service and timely response to requests
Data Analysis – Ensures the highest level of accuracy in analysis and reporting
Program Management – Working with the team to ensure high quality execution from schedule of key marketing campaigns and programs throughout the internship with a particular focus on digital marketing and demand generation.
Undergraduate in a Business/Marketing from a recognised university
Good theoretical understanding of digital marketing techniques
An affinity for numbers and good understanding of Microsoft Excel
Motivated and organized person who is a self-starter and can multi-task
Ability to work calmly under pressure with good attention to detail
Basic understanding of information technology and its use in business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with B2B marketing concepts
Additional languages a plus (French, German or Russian particularly desirable)
