In this position, you will be tasked with managing a Design Engineering team that is responsible for design, development, qualification, transition to production, and support of complex RF, Microwave, and millimeterwave sub-systems. You will manage a functional group of design engineers, responsible for their achievement, performance, and development.You will manage Project Engineers, and may function as one, working with customers to create optimal solutions, generate proposals, and develop compliant, cost effective, assemblies and sub-systems. You will be responsible for developing a group vision and execution plan that synchronizes the activities of Design Engineering to that of the program management and operations teams.You will need to be comfortable working in both supervisory and individual contributor roles. You will work closely with Business Development to create and maintain strong relationships of trust and dependability with customers, resulting in new business opportunities.You will generate technical and financial inputs to proposals.You will engage with engineering and business development management to develop and pursue strategic plans and develop new capabilities.You will have the responsibility for hiring and managing engineers with differing levels of experience.
Experience in the use of relevant RF Design tools (linear, non-linear, EM 3D, and Time Domain)
Ex. ADS, MWO, Momentum, Sonnet, HFSS, and Spice
Experience with RF test equipment and instruments
Ex. Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
BSEE degree and 10+ years of relevant experience (or MS and 7+ years)
Including a successful track record leading technical teams in designing and deploying complex RF assemblies and sub-systems.
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Previous experience managing design engineers
Project Engineering or Program Management experience
