Inside Sales Representative

The Small Business Inside Sales Representative (SMB ISR) is responsible for developing highly qualified sales opportunities and working them through the sales funnel within a specific partner defined territory. The ISR will work with businesses with less than 250 employees by working with Channel Partners to identify and qualify potential opportunities and work them to close. This position requires aggressive identification and qualification of new business opportunities/prospects through cold calling, email, web and offline based initiatives. This key and integral role directly impacts the ongoing success of Symantec and provides career development and opportunity within the company.
Business Objectives of the Role:

Meet or exceed monthly & quarterly new business and new customer acquisition targets
Drive revenue and market share within a defined territory
Work to enable partners to extend reach, drive adoption, & displace competitors within the SMB market
Develop and maintain strong rep to rep relationships within key channel partners to expand the Symantec reach within businesses with less than 250 employees

Position Responsibilities:

Prospect and perform lead generation campaigns leveraging marketing and the partner community to drive pipeline and revenue
Build & Maintain a robust sales pipeline through the execution of Sales Campaigns & Plays through assigned channel partners
Develop and execute against a comprehensive territory plan within an assigned region
Manage and own individual pipeline of opportunities, closed/won revenue, in line with assigned metrics and targets
Responsible for accurate and timely revenue forecasting and updates
Maintain an average of 50 calls/day with minimum 2.5 hours talk time


Job Requirements:
Cold calling experience in B2B or B2C lead generating environments
Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships with prospective and existing customers
Proven track record of success (consistently achieve/overachieve quota)
Experience utilizing CRM Systems (preferably Salesforce.com), accessing and using Social Selling platforms such as LinkedIn, SFA tools, and MS Office tools
An understanding of security, networking and technology solutions
Ability to learn quickly and think analytically
Active listening skills
Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral
Work experience should include a 1+ years of outbound business-to-business phone marketing and/or sales experience (or combination of work experience and education)
BS or BA in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
Creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills
Self-Motivated and persistent
