The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between IT, the Business Operations (Order Management, Supply Chain, Renewals) and Program Management. The BRM should possess knowledge about business practices in engineering 7 product launch area and IT related concepts to help implement the best technology solutions that fit business and IT strategic roadmaps.
Work closely with business users to understand business processes and strategies. Assist in development of business case to prioritize and drive IT initiatives. Establish a communication channel with business to provide regular updates in terms of status and steering committee updates. Work closely with global engineering, program management, product management and operations leadership to ensure appropriately aligned business and IT strategies.
Plan and manage application portfolio within ITL space, working closely with the regional and Global IT delivery organizations as well as enterprise COEs. Work with business to understand business strategies. Assist with the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities. Makes recommendation regarding administrative, organizational, and operational problems, assists with the preparation and administration of the budget, maintains and monitors appropriate budgetary controls, develops and implements a IT strategic roadmap aligning with Business strategies
Maintains global view of ITL roadmap. Participates in forecasting and long-term planning, implements long-term plans, uses non-traditional/creative approaches to problem-solving, recommends new or revised standards, policies, etc. in areas of responsibilities. Ensures all assigned projects follow the appropriate project and portfolio management processes.
Business User Management
Business relationships - Develop working relationships with a diverse group of business people and gains an understanding of the complex nature of the company’s business. Maintain familiarity with the business plans.
Business Alignment - Meets with user community to understand business requirements and to develop detailed Functional and Technical Specifications and system requirements for the ITL space. Works with customers to define and prioritize improvement initiatives.
Departmental Responsibilities - Participates in creating employee training and process documentation. Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations. Recommend the implementation of technology to support the company's objectives. Develop and maintain thorough understanding of company business processes.
BS Degree in Information Technology or Business Operations.
10+ years’ experience in managing projects, using structured methodologies, analysis, requirements, developing and executing functional and technical designs, and developing consistently bug-free code.
Experience leading and working with global cross functional geographically dispersed teams to deliver project milestones and outcomes.
Experience proactively managing customers’ expectations, Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to convert Finance business needs into system requirements.
